ReplyDeleteThe last lines say it all and are the true meaning of it all. Glad all the fun you describe so incredibly well above is part of the Christmas season.
Peace
Linzer torts (or tarts) are the most heavenly cookies in the world! My mother-in-law always baked them (and lots of other cookies) at Christmas. They are raspberry-filled with powdered sugar on top. Unfortunately I did not inherit the cookie gene but my daughters did! I bake the bread and they bake Nana's cookies!

ReplyDeleteI step into this beauty of your home... into your memories strung upon the tree, music fills my ears, the scent from your oven is heaven indeed, I feel the palpable love from your sweet attention to detail, and I am young and innocent again...
ReplyDeleteThese haiku are wonderful. What a splendid capture of the season. The torts sound delicious--maybe a post with the recipe? :-) May you have a blessed Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI like the holy family, But each of your decorations has it own story.
ReplyDeleteVery nice haiku.
Śliczne ozdoby świąteczne. Wśród nich zobaczyłam szklaną kulę i się uśmiechnęłam. Moja córka zbiera szklane kule, tak jak ja dzwonki. Pozdrawiam.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Christmas decorations. Among them I saw a crystal ball and smiled. My daughter collects glass balls, like me ringtones. Yours.
You've pretty well summed up the whole Christmas story!
ReplyDeleteHiding Place
